Our Spaces

The recently refurbished National Theatre Sound Studios offer two distinct air-conditioned studio environments interlinked with a central live recording space and lobby area.

The rooms are focussed on different areas of the creative process creating a relaxed, yet highly flexible and capable studio facility located on the South Bank in a Central London location.

The Designers Studio

This space is designed as a plug-and-play creative facility, allowing you to connect your own computer via USB-C and instantly access eight channels of SSL mic preamps, a Genelec 5.1 monitoring system, extended external displays and high-speed internet.

For a more traditional workflow, a Mac Studio equipped with Pro Tools Ultimate and Logic Pro X is also available.

The room is particularly well-suited to voiceover recording, content creation, and critical listening sessions.

The Atmos Studio

This flagship room is designed to cater for larger scale post-production and recording work.

At the centre of this space is an Avid S4 surface and Pro Tools HDX system, capable of capturing up to 192 channels of audio from remote sources or up to 16 channels locally utilising Neve and SSL preamps. Monitoring is powered by a PMC 5.1 system, with additional Genelec speakers providing full 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos capability for immersive workflows.

This room is particularly suited to larger mixdowns and working with film or spatial/object-based audio.
